Whether you choose Electrolysis, Laser, or an Advanced Skin Therapy, your session begins with a private consultation and analysis where we will take the time to personalize your needs. We believe each and every treatment should be individualized and conclude with your complete comfort and satisfaction.
Complementary Consultation: Please call us at 617-484-1721 for a private and complimentary consultation where Susanna will take the time to personalize your needs to help you achieve the results you are looking for. Private consultations are held at L’Essentiel and all services are by appointment only.
Booking and Cancellation: We require twenty-four hours notice to cancel any appointment, and a credit card number is needed to hold your reservation for a service of 1 hour or more. In the event of a no-show, your appointment fee will be charged to your credit card.
Payment: We accept local checks, cash, Master Card and Visa.
Please Do: Leave babies, children and pets at home. Turn off cell phones and pagers. This is your time to relax. Please inform us if you have any special needs or concerns to allow us to ensure your time spent at L’Essentiel is a memorable experience.
About Susanna
Susanna Barmakian is a Registered Electrologist and Medical Esthetician. She is a graduate of the Electrology Institute of New England, the Esthetics Institute of New England, and holds advanced certifications from The International Dermal Institute, DermaMed International, Palomar Medical and Cynosure of Massachusetts. In addition to having worked with a respected Cosmetic Dermatologist, Susanna is an active guest speaker at EINE for esthetic education, and has been featured on Boston’s WCVB TV Chronicle and in the Boston Globe. She regularly incorporates her passion for music, gardening and fine art photography into L’Essentiel.
Advanced Laser and Medical Aesthetics – The ALME Center
L’Essentiel is overseen by Medical Director Vatche Seraderian. While serving as Medical Director, Dr. Seraderian is independent in his individual practices; Belmont Dental Esthetics and Advanced Laser and Medical Esthetics, conveniently adjacent to L’Essentiel. Dr. Seraderian serves as the Medical Director for clinical aesthetic treatments and performs all medical procedures.
Susanna is co-founder, and serves as the Esthetics Coordinator at Advanced Laser and Medical Esthetics. Working in tandem, Susanna and Dr. Seraderian are committed to offering the most advanced esthetic technology in laser anti-aging and medical esthetics. Their joint approach helps yield more complete and comprehensive esthetic care.
The Website Images
The vintage poses found on this website are dated as early at 1907. Julian Mandel was known as an artist and a skillful photographer of the classical pose. The vintage Classical Poses of Julian Mandel are a mix of some of his best images dating approximately 1915-1928. Jean Agelou and his brother Georges Agelou produced many pose images of women. One of the most popular was a model named Fernande; she is featured on this page. The images were produced as pose images for artists and marketed to the upper crust of French society through a French art magazine called "L'etude Academique" from 1907-1915. They remain as popular today as they were in their own day.
